1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Globecom's services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

Globecom provides telecommunications services including:

  • High-speed internet connectivity (Fibre and Wireless)
  • VOIP telephony services
  • Security and surveillance systems
  • Energy solutions and backup systems
  • Technical support and maintenance

3. User Obligations

As a user of our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Use our services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not engage in any illegal or unauthorized activities
  • Not interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Pay all fees and charges in accordance with your service agreement

4. Service Availability

While we strive to provide continuous service availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our services. Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance and upgrades
  • Technical difficulties or system failures
  • Force majeure events beyond our control
  • Network congestion or external factors

5. Billing and Payment

Payment Terms:

  • All fees are due in advance unless otherwise specified
  • Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date
  • Late payment charges may apply to overdue accounts
  • We reserve the right to suspend services for non-payment

Price Changes: We may modify our pricing with 30 days' notice to existing customers.

6. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We commit to providing reliable service with the following targets:

  • Network Uptime: 99.5% availability (excluding scheduled maintenance)
  • Response Time: Support tickets responded to within 24 hours
  • Installation: New services installed within 5-10 business days

Service credits may be available for SLA breaches as outlined in your service agreement.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use our services for:

  • Illegal activities or content that violates applicable laws
  • Spam, phishing, or other malicious activities
  • Copyright infringement or intellectual property violations
  • Activities that may harm or disrupt our network
  • Excessive bandwidth usage that impacts other customers

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on our website and services are owned by Globecom or our licensors. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
  • Use our trademarks or logos without authorization
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Globecom shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Third-party actions or content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

  • By You: With 30 days' written notice
  • By Us: For breach of terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with notice
  • Immediate Termination: For serious breaches or illegal activities

Upon termination, you must return all equipment and pay any outstanding charges.

12. Equipment and Installation

Equipment Ownership: Equipment provided by Globecom remains our property unless purchased outright.

Installation: Professional installation is required for most services. Installation fees may apply.

Maintenance: We provide maintenance for our equipment. Customer damage may result in replacement charges.

13. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or network provider issues.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and become effective immediately. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
